HYDE VINEYARD - (Semillon)
Our Semillon is sourced from the 160+ acre Hyde Vineyard located in the Carneros AVA, the southernmost sub-appellation of Napa Valley. The property, a mix of shallow loamy soils & ancient stream beds, is influenced by the fog and cool breezes of San Francisco Bay. Amongst the gently rolling hills of Hyde Vineyard our single row of 150 thirty five year old vines, originally part of a much larger block of Semillon, is situated mid slope above Congress Creek which defines most of the eastern boundary of Hyde Vineyard. It has been mentioned that this single row of Semillon vines used to produce our 2013 Hyde Vineyard Semillon owes it existence to patriarch Larry Hyde's love of the varietal and for that we thank him!!
