Opaque purple in color the Bacigalupi Vineyard Petite Sirah exhibits powerful black mulberry, spice and a touch of tobacco on the nose.  A firm, ripe tannic backbone supports a very intense mouthful of black fruits, pepper, spice and plums.  Similar to the 2012 vintage this wine is full and very balanced. It is approachable now but will have the ability to be cellared for many years.

*Wine Spectator – April 2016, 91pts “Robust, delivering thick blackberry and huckleberry flavors that are ripe and lush, with gingerbread, chicory and espresso details that finish with a lingering spicy note. Drink now through 2030

*eRobertParker.com #223 – March 2016, 90pts “…. the 2013 Petite Sirah Bacigalupi Vineyard is 100% Petite Sirah and is surprisingly civilized and drinkable for an infant Petite Sirah. With outstanding depth of blueberry and blackberry fruit as well as some camphor and white flowers, this opaque purple, full-bodied wine is meaty, rich, pure, and ideal for drinking now as well as over the next 15 or so years.”

*Zinfandel Chronicles – Oct 2015, 91pts “Pitch red in color. 14.5% ABV. Black fruits, asphalt, flowers and espresso on the nose. Immense, concentrated and powerful. Black cherry, blackberry and iron on the palate. Big, gritty tannins on an exceptionally long finish. Enjoy this wine now with a healthy decant or tuck it away in the cellar for 6-8 years.”
