Classic Violet in color with an attractive bright cherry nose. The palate exhibits an intensity of spice, white pepper surrounded by red & black fruits. The velvety texture reveals a long finish with strong acidity and well integrated tannins.
*eRobertParker.com #223 – March 2016, 92pts “… The wine displays a dark ruby/plum color and deliciously sweet black and red currant fruit as well as briary wild berry notes, earth, licorice, and a touch of tapenade. It is classic, full-bodied Zinfandel to drink over the next 5-7 years.“
*Zinfandel Chronicles – Oct 2015, 92pts “Violet in color. 15% ABV. Super nose of red fruits and white pepper. Rich and juicy with mouth watering acidity. Perfect balance. Raspberry, boysenberry and a hint of citrus on the palate. This wine will only improve with a few years in the cellar. Exceptional Russian River Valley Zinfandel from an amazing vineyard.”
*Wine Spectator – April 2016, 88pts “Burly and ripe, with dark notes of blueberry and blackberry, plus accents of licorice and toasty sage. Drink now through 2021.”
