The 2012 vintage can easily be described as potentially the best of the past decade.  A nearly perfect flowering and fruit set in the spring along with warm yet moderate summer temperatures resulted in a harvest with wonderful balance and yields from the vines.  Dr Stan’s Pinot Noir displays vibrant hues of ruby red.  The nose reveals a floral component with strawberry and ripe cherry leading to notable earthly layers on the palate and finish.  This elegant and sophisticated wine will continue to take on weight in the bottle much like a classic burgundian pinot.

*Pinot Report – December 2014, 91pts “Earthy, ripe Pinot with nice structure for some additional age”

*Zinfandel Chronicles – December 2014, 90pts “Cherries, earth, forest floor and cranberries on the palate. The finish is long and spicy. Somewhat Burgundian”

*PinotFile – January 2015, 90pts “Well-structured with dry tannins and enough acidity to bring the fruit to life”
